Jeffrey Thomas & Partners Celebrates 40th Anniversary
Jeffrey Thomas & Partners (JT&P) is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year, and we couldn’t be more excited about where we’ve come and where we’re going in the future.
It’s been a pleasure to re-connect with various former staff and Partners as part of our 40th Anniversary celebrations and listen to their fond recollections of working days at JT&P.
We are fortunate to have interviewed Jeffrey Thomas this month, and he agrees to answer our questions and perhaps mention the days of side-burns, telex machines, typewriters, and the first fee cheque, amongst other memories.
Jeffrey Thomas and Partners (JT&P) was founded in 1981 by Jeffrey Thomas with a client ledger from Forge & Partners. Back then, there were the “Big 8” large accounting companies, whose names most people wouldn’t quite remember today. Arthur Andersen, Arthur Young & Co, Coopers & Lybrand, Ernst & Whinney, Deloitte Haskins & Sells, Peat Marwick Mitchell, Price Waterhouse and Touche Ross.
Jeffrey Thomas worked as Managing Partner for the first 30 years, overseeing changes in the management, staffing, office location, client performance, and significant legislative changes. From humble beginnings over the past 40 years, today, the JT&P has expanded to employ more than 30 people.
Our Partners are also enthusiastic about the prospects that lie ahead of us, and we will continue to provide client solutions and a high degree of commitment in an increasingly complex environment, replicating the first 40 years of success in our business for many generations to come.
In line with this, we still have upcoming interviews from our former and currents partners so please stay tuned for more of our anniversary updates. You may also contact us if you have any questions or want to discuss the next steps for your business.
